The ESS club makes cookies

Here are some photos of the ESS club making chocolate cookies for the Christmas party. Everyone had a lot of fun, and the cookies tasted delicious! By the end of the party they had all been eaten!

The First Year Sports Day

On Wednesday 15th December it was the first year sports day at Nyu High School. I didn't have to teach that morning, so I could watch. The boys played football and basketball, and the girls played basketball and volleyball. I was very impressed by the basketball - everyone was really good!

Today stoves were set up in the classrooms at Nyu High School. It's getting very cold, so I hope they're turned on soon! I want to be warm!

Class 3-2

These are the best things that happened to Class 3-2 in 2004:

I met Lewis (laugh).

I bought the new Playstation 2! It's slim.

I went to the school festival. I practiced dancing every day.

I went to Kyoto with my class mates. We had a good time.

I enjoyed life!

I went to Kenko no mori on the spring school trip. But, the weather was cloudy. I got caught in the rain on my way.

I passed the Eiken test. I was very happy.

I went to Kyoto on the fall school trip. I had a good time. We ate curry and rice.

I met up with a friend that I hadn't seen for a long time. I was very happy.

I enjoyed the school festival. We made a Daruma. It won first prize.

I went to Kyoto. I visited Nanzenji. I was happy to see historic architecture.

In November I went to Nagoya with my friends. I bought a lot of clothes.

I went to Seattle. I ate a big hamburger. I saw many places. It was really interesting.

I climbed Mount Fuji with Manae. Mount Fuji was very exciting and wonderful.

I enjoyed the school festival. I took many pictures.

I bought a new dog. It's really cool and cute. His name is Buru.

I climbed Mount Fuji with Akiko and my family. I was very tired, but I enjoyed myself.

We had the school festival. It is my best memory of Nyu High School.

My brother's baby was born. His name is Ayuto. He is very cute.

I watched the Athens Olympics on TV. Mr. Nomura won a gold medal. I was very moved.

I ate kani. It was very delicious.

I went to the sea in Echizen with my friends. Swimming is interesting and pleasant.

I went to Nagoya to go shopping with my friends by bus. I had a very good time.

I went to Tsuruga to pick oranges with my family. The oranges tasted good.

I bought a big Stitch doll! It is very cute. I like it very much.

I went to Nagoya in August to go shopping. I bought Disney goods.

I went to the sea. I enjoyed it very much.

I went to Tokushima. I played the clarinet with students from other high schools in Fukui. There was a typhoon there. The wind was very strong.

I went to see the Takefu fireworks.

I watched Euro 2004 on TV.

I played soccer during the summer vacation.

I went shopping in Kanazawa.

I watched the fashion show at the school festival.

I went to Nagoya in the summer.

We had a concert in Harmony Hall. Every member played his/her own instrument: guitar, drums, bass, piano etc. I enjoyed playing guitar.

I went to Osaka with friends. I enjoyed it very much.

I enjoyed the school festival. I wore a dress for the fashion show.

Class 3-2 are: Maki, Yuko, Yuto Sasaki, Sakon Maki, Mika Kitagawa, Takahiro Toudou, Yoshio Iwata, Akiko Nakahashi, Manae Kadoki, Yuki Takashima, Megumi Matsubara, Chika Okeya and Kumatani.

Class 3-1

The best things that happened to Class 3-1 in 2004 were:

I have played table tennis for three years. I entered my last championship in June.

The school festival was held on September 5,6,7! We enjoyed it very much!

I went to RENAISS KANAZAWA. Then I went to Sutaminatorou. It was very, very delicious!

Our hockey team went to Saitama for a hockey tournament. We made it to the final but we came second.

I passed the test for Fukui Kougyou College.

I went to Yamanashi-ken with my family.

I passed the test for Fukui Technical College.

I watched Formula 1 in Suzuka.

My team (white) won the school festival! Class 3-1 are the best!

I went to the Mikuni fireworks festival with my boyfriend. It was very beautiful.

I went to Ensoku. I was happy because I ate lunch with my friends.

I passed the test to work in a cake shop. It is very clean and the cakes are delicious.

I'm going to "car school". I love cars. I especially love sports cars. My dream is to drive the RX-7. I like cars, I love the RX-7!

Yuta Tabuse was selected for the Phoenix Suns.

Yoshito Okubo was selected for Mallorca.

Ichiro Suzuki made a new record. He is a good player.

Arsenal made a new record.

I passed the test for care school.

I went to the game center in Renaiss Kanazawa. I was interested in Gunslinger "Bang, Bang!!". I killed many zombies!! "Oh, Yeah!"

The best things that happened to Class 2-I in 2004 were:

I went to Okinawa. I rode a banana boat.

I went to Kanazawa on a school trip. I played on the UFO catchers.

I played with the orchestra in Ongakudou.

I went to Kanazawa. I was shopping.

My test results were very good.

Lewis came to Nyu High School.

I went to Koshien.

Class 2-I are: Sayuri Inoue, Saki Mandokoro, Keisuke Fujimoto, Tashiharu Matoba and Hideki Kimura.

Class 2-3

These are the best things that happened to Class 2-3 in 2004. Can you guess which student wrote what?:

I became a 2-3 student, and I met a very cool person.

I found a very interesting game. The game is an RPG which is played on the internet.

After Fukui's heavy rain I went to volunteer. It was a horrible sight. A postcard was sent to me that said "Thank you" on it.

I went to Kyoto. Kyoto is a very mysterious place! I want to go again.

I went to Okinawa. Okinawa is very a beautiful place. The sea is also beautiful! I went swimming in the sea.

I played soccer every day in the summer vacation.

I saw my host family after an interval of three years.

I met some other high school students and we became friends. We are very good friends.

I went to Tokushima for my club activity.

I went to Tokyo for the National Brass Band Convention.

In August I watched the Olympics in Athens on TV. The Japanese team was very strong.

I played a lot of volleyball.

I went to Katsuyama to watch volleyball.

The typhoon was the best thing because we left school early.

I ran in in the School Marathon on October 6th.

On November 13th I went to Shinzen Sen soccer meeting.

I won the Japanese archery tournament.

I watched a baseball game in Koshien ball park.

I enjoyed the school festival.

I'll be Number 1 in the next kyudo game!

I went to Asahi festival with my friends. We wore yukata and we took the dashi.

I went to Kyoto. I enjoyed shopping.

I went to Fukui museum. I saw pictures and art.

The summer vacation was interesting. I swam in Echizen.

In August I went to Tokushima for the culture festival.

In fall I watched my brother play baseball for the first time.

I watched ballet for the first time. It's very beautiful.

We finished second in the hockey game at the National Athletic Meet.

I went to see the fireworks festival in Takefu with my friend.

I went bathing in the sea in Koshino during the summer vacation.

In June I went to a CHEMISTRY concert in Ishikawa.

I ate many ice creams.

Class 3-3

The best things that happened to Class 3-3 in 2004 were:

The Olympics!

I went to Disneyland with Mizuki and Mitsuko in the long summer vacation!!

We held a "Nabe Party" in my house.

I went to see a movie with my friends.

I talked with my friends all night.

I won an event in the school festival.

I went to Tokyo Disneyland with my friends in July. I spent a lot of money on presents. I had a good time.

We were the champions of the fashion show. We worked hard at making a lot of clothes.

I was hit by a car. But I am fine now!

Well done girls!

The girl's field hockey team went to play in the national hockey finals in Saitama. They managed to make it all the way to the final, but in the end they came second. Even so, it was a fantastic effort! Well done girls!

The Typhoon

Unfortunately, a typhoon arrived at the end of the Sports Festival, so we had to finish early. The strong winds destroyed some of the statues that the students had made.
